I have been a governing board member of the San Lorenzo Unified School District for the last four years. I possess a Master's Degree, from Saint Mary's College of California, in Educational Leadership. I received a Juris Doctor Degree from Lincoln University Law School. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. I have a California Teaching Credential and teach school in the Hayward School District.

My wife, Pamela Hart-Fobert, and I are the parents of four sons, all educated in San Lorenzo Schools. I have over twenty-one years experience in private business administration and financial management. During this time I have been continuously active in our community educational, civic and religious organizations. I have served as an officer in Bay School PTA and the School Site Council. I have been a Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America, and a guest instructor through Junior Achievement of the Bay Area. I served on several school district committees over the years, including the Superintendent Selection Committee, the Strategic Planning Committee, and co-chair of the first Facilities Committee.

I approach the completion of my first four year term of office having served as Board President for three of those years. I have worked collaboratively, provided leadership and enjoyed the trust of my colleagues and the community in reopening schools, facilities modernization, strategic planning, improved academic achievement, curriculum and student safety. This school district continues to be financially sound as a consequence of careful planning and stewardship.

As a parent, educator and life-long learner I understand and take seriously the problems and challenges confronting public education. I enjoy the mutual respect, trust and cooperation of my fellow board members and believe I possess the skills, talents and the desire to work collaboratively with our community to address both the quality of education and the long term issues we confront while educating our children.
