In addition, I support the "Three P's Approach" to save, strengthen and improve Social Security for the 21st Century.

1) Preserve the system's promises & benefits to current and soon-to-be retirees.

2) Protect our seniors by maintaining Social Security's strong safety net for low-income workers, women and disabled.

3) Personalize Social Security to give our children and grandchildren retirement accounts to get a better return on their taxes while opening the door for all workers to save and create wealth.

I also want to abolish the outdated Social Security earnings limit. This will protect seniors who want to continue to work, by choice, without fear of losing their existing benefits.

Regarding Medicare, I support bipartisan, common-sense reform that extends the prescription drug coverage to more Americans--without taking away choices for the 2/3 of our seniors who already have prescription drug benefits. The right Medicare reforms are those that improve drug coverage, keep patients and doctors in control, protect choices seniors already have, and avoids excessive government regulation.
