As a Libertarian I live my life, and will make all my votes in the State Assembly, based on one central idea: YOU OWN YOURSELF. To own yourself means that your decisions about what to do with your life, your body, and honestly acquired property, are the decisions that count. Libertarians approach political, economic and social issues by placing the highest priority on solutions which let people solve their own problems in their own way, according to their values. There's nothing the government can do for you that you can't do for yourself -- far less expensively, far more easily, and far more in keeping with the way you want it done. We need to reduce government to just the functions authorized in the Constitution. I will support a system that encourges all people to choose what they want, accepting whatever consequences come. To own yourself means that each of us must take responsibility for our actions. You deserve a free and independent life.
