As a daughter of a Greek immigrant family, I was taught at an early age to never back down from a fight. And in my first two terms in the State Assembly, I have taken on some of California's toughest challenges: class size reduction, managed health care reform, affordable housing, oversight of government technology, tax relief for working families, and the statewide ban on assault weapons and Saturday Night Specials. I have worked hard to keep Silicon Valley strong, but there is so much more we should do to keep Santa Clara County communities safe, economically viable and a good place to live and work.
