Organic Farming and Recycling

By Jo Chamberlain

Candidate for Green Party County Council; County of San Mateo

This information is provided by the candidate
Reduce chemical farming and pesticide use by buying organic and encourage local farmers to grow chemical-free produce. Don't buy anything that can't be recycled, reused or composted.
We must stop poisoning our home: planet earth. Each of us can make a huge difference by our own actions. Buy certified organic foods, and never buy anything that is used only once and then placed in landfill. Let's make landfill a relic of the past.

Never use poisons in your home or office to control insects. Talk with your children's school personnel about the use of pesticides and fertilizers by their staff. Demand that poisoning of schools and offices be stopped.

There are safe, practical and effective alternatives to poisons.
