Laying Down the Law: taking domestice violence seriously
The Law provides for the punishment of violent behavior. Some crimes don't merit a jail sentence, but Judges have to make it clear that violence will not be tolerated.
Preserving Basic Freedoms is my constant priority
Our Bill of Rights are limitations on the power of government, and the courts are your last line of defense.
Competence, fairness, and civility preserve the justice system
We have to maintain civility and respect in all court proceedings. No judge should ever be biassed or rude!!! Otherwise, citizens will feel excluded from the justice system.
