Member, City Council; Town of Los Altos Hills

A long-time resident of Los Altos Hills, Jim has watched the town transition from orchards and horse farms to our present suburban-rural community. He welcomes constructive change toward tomorrow's needs, but also strongly supports the protection of our rural environment and lifestyle.

Jim was educated as an Electrical Engineer (two advanced degrees) and holds an MBA degree in Finance. After an early-career assignment at IT&T Laboratories in New Jersey, he joined Ford Aerospace, serving as Chief Engineer of the Sunnyvale Division for 9 years. He later managed BART's Computer Engineering Department while designing and installing new software that remotely controls all BART trains. He is an up-to-date computer professional, a seasoned manager, and a registered Professional Engineer in California.

Nina and Jim have three children and two grandchildren. Since moving to Los Altos Hills in 1968, they have both been active in community affairs. Jim has served six years as Chair of the LAH Finance Committee. He has also served four years as Executive Director of the Palo Alto Concours d'Elegance, a charity classic car show. Currently he is serving as Finance Elder and Church Treasurer of his church.
