  • Occupation: San Jose City Councilwoman
  • City Councilmember Patricia Dando is a 25-year resident of San Jose.
  • Member of the Economic and Community Development and Finance and Technology Committees.
  • Liaison to the City's Child Care Commission.
  • Pat led the effort to stop the expansion of gambling in San Jose by giving the control over card clubs to the voters.
  • Won approval to open San Jose's first community policing center to serve the Almaden, Blossom Valley, and Santa Teresa neighborhoods..
  • Received Woman of Achievement Award in 1999.

  • Public safety is Councilmember Dando's top priority. She led the effort to expand the police force by 123 officers.
