Candidate for
Member, County Board of Education; Trustee Area 3

This information is provided by the candidate

As your current member of the Orange County Board of Education, I have used my financial background as a CPA to safeguard our tax dollars and ensure that funds are spent wisely on our children and in our classrooms.

· My accomplishments are a fulfillment of the promises I made to you in 1996:

· Fiscal leadership that allowed our District to fully recover from the 1995 County bankruptcy by balancing the budget and increasing the District's reserve.

· A charter school that allows parents and teachers to choose the curriculum they know is best for their children.

· The implementation of a policy that prevents Internet access to pornography.

· Phonics-based reading programs that have been proven to increase literacy and reduce juvenile delinquency.

· Orange County's first single gender academy, where at-risk students establish the academic goals that can lead them to successful lives.

I am a devoted husband and have resided in our community for 20 years. As a small businessman, I understand that our hard earned tax money needs to be spent wisely on giving the children of our District every opportunity to become successful.

I am accountable to you, the taxpayer and would be honored to serve another term. Your vote is appreciated.
