Elected to the Orange County Board of Education as a Trustee for District One: Fountain Valley, Westminster, Santa Ana and portions of Garden Grove. Reelected in 1996, I am currently the Vice President of the Board .In January of 1997, I was instrumental in the adoption of a resolution recognizing Gonzalo Mendez and his family for their part in the 1946 racial integration of all Orange County schools.

Member of the Board of Directors for the Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service (JINS)Federal Credit Union for the last eight years.

Chief of the Red Tail Hawk Clan of the United Lumbee Indian Nation of North Carolina and America for the area of Orange and San Diego counties.

Graduated from Edgewood High School and have attended San Antonio Junior College in San Antonio , Texas, Mira Costa Junior College in Oceanside, California, and graduated from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California in 1999. Roger Williams University in Bristol , Rhode Island , has granted me 80 transferable credits and I hope to enroll in the University's Public Administration open Program in the near future.

An adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 316 at Calvary Chapel since 1981. I have served as a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Orange County Council Urban Emphasis Program.
