Candidate for
Member of the City Council; City of Torrance

This information is provided by the candidate

Dear Neighbor,

I am running for City Council to preserve the quality of life in Torrance that we all cherish. I will fight for safe streets, immaculate parks, and top-notch police and fire protection.

My professional, educational, and community service activities have given me the experience to lead Torrance in the millenium.

I am the Executive Director of a non-profit agency that places seniors in volunteer positions in our community.

I am a 32 year Torrance resident and have spent that time helping to improve our city. I have served as a City Commissioner, President of our Homeowners' Assocation in North Torrance, President of AARP, PTA President and volunteered in Scouts, Little League, and Special Olympics.

I feel honored that the following elected officials have commended me for my civic work:

  • Senator Robert Beverly
  • Supervisor Deane Dana
  • Assemblyman George Nakano

In addition, the YMCA and Southern California Lions Clubs named me Citizen of the Year.

My MBA will enable me to provide fiscally prudent leadership so our tax dollars are spent wisely.

I am committed to being available to you. Please call me at (310) 516-1390 to talk with me, or e-mail me at HWitkowsky@aol.com

Sincerely,

Hope Witkowsky
