The following are my positions:

  • Increase the minimum wage by $1 per hour above the Federal standard. Provide free bus passes and rent control for minimum wage workers.

  • Provide more shelters and food for the homeless, also free bus passes and donated cars for their use.

  • Legalize marijuana use for adults over 21 years old. Users must be in possession of a permit. Permits would be available for a $25 filing fee per year at the courthouse.

  • Eradication of all other drugs!

  • Establish a dental school that would make services available free to low income people.

  • Establish an optometry school that would make services available free to low income people plus make available eye glasses at a reduced rate.

  • Bring in new industry for good paying jobs.

  • New stadium for Sam Lynn Ball Paark.

  • Make the Canal Project a reality.

  • School uniforms for all grades.

  • Add a city tax of 25 cents per pack of cigarettes.

  • Add a city tax of 2% on earnings above $60,000 per year.
