We need better representation as citizens in Eastern Contra Costa County.

By Sandra Fredrickson

Candidate for Supervisor; County of Contra Costa; District 5

This information is provided by the candidate
We need a government that will represent the needs of all of us, not just a few of us.
I am competing for your vote to become the next County Supervisor of District 5. I am doing this as I feel that we, the citizens, are not represented within our local government.

We have needs as citizens in this eastern county disrict that relate to growth, transportation, jobs, crime, schools, environment, pollution, public safety, family and community and yet we as a constituancy do not seem to have a voice.

I plan to do all that is in my power if elected to represent everyone including the "silent majority." These are the citizens whose time restraints prohibit them from attending meetings but, should have a voice none the less. Just because citizens are absent from meetings it should not in any way be construed automatically as giving acceptance or approval to a decision made on their behalf.

I am not saying I have all the answers to the many problems we have in East County, what I am saying is, I will work very hard toward getting what we are entitled to from the County, State and Federal bureaucracies that will help us living at this end of the county.

I will be hands on, active and work hard by going directly to you, the people, not force you to come to me. I plan to be as informative as possible to the constituency and will not make you wait for a Tuesday meeting to make a 3 minute comment regarding your concerns.

I will represent, not act as trustee on your behalf and will place accountability back into the vocabulary of our county government.
