Healthcare

Healthcare services for the under-served are a priority for me if elected--healthy children learn and healthy adults prosper. Initially I would evaluate our outreach programs and increase participation in our current programs. Second, with input from impacted communities, I would determine what other programs are necessary to provide appropriate healthcare for all.

Transportation

The transportation corridors of the county need relief. I will work to find a way to blend all our transit agencies. Their territorial attitude deprives county residents of public transist services. I will continue to support and develop alternative modes of transportation to attract the one car/one passenger off the road. As a citizen I recognize that the construction of wider freeways is not the solution to our traffic problems.

Raider Deal

The Oakland Raider deal is a tremendous drain on our financial resources. I would vote to hire a professional negotiator to bring all parties back to the table. I would instruct the staff to find a way to reduce the bonded indebtness more quickly. I propose examining all revenue streams for the coliseum/arena and finding new revenues to pay this debt off. Al Davis needs to end his part in this scenario, so he can develop a winning team.
