I believe that Democrats elected to the Central Committee should have the experience, commitment and energy to serve as a Party Leader from the 16th AD. My background in Democratic politics began in this area in 1976 and continues today as I work to build the Democratic Party and elect good Democrats to office. I'm a graduate of UC Berkeley, active in a number of organizations in the City of Alameda and throughout the East Bay. I volunteer as Alameda County Board Chair of the American Red Cross and an active member of the Alameda Rotary Club. I am the Chair of the State Business & Professional Caucus of the California Democratic Party(CDP) and I serve on the CDP Finance Committee. I give a great deal of my time and personal resources to the Democratic Party and will be very involved to help elect Al Gore as our next President of the United States in November. My endorsements include the Alameda Democratic Club, the Metropolitan-Great Oakland Democratic Club, the East Bay Lesbian-Gay Democratic Club and the Oakland-East Bay Democratic Club.
