Questions & Answers

1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?

I would support a mini transit system, that serviced the northern suburbs. More East West routes are needed.

2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.

I would strongly oppose any public monies being spent on private campaigns and more regulations are a waste of paper and don't work, just look to Washington.

3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?

Land use planning prior to zoning is a tremendous tool if used properly as we have done in Springdale. It helps a city to control where certain types of business/industries can locate and in the long term have as much impact as actual zoning.
