Questions & Answers

1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?

I feel that a "dial-a-ride" program, such as the one in St. Bernard, would greatly help our senior and disabled citizens.

2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.

I believe that politicians should be able to spend their monies on their own campaigns as they see fit. This is a 1st amendment, free speech issue, and I believe strongly in the 1st amendment.

3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?

Land use without zoning is detrimental to the community. Proper zoning ensures that our residential areas do not become blighted or unsightly and that our residents are protected from toxic waste and other environmental hazards.
