Political Philosophy for David J. Savage

Candidate for
Member Council; City of Wyoming

This information is provided by the candidate

The major issue facing our municipal government continues to be the maintenance and improvement of the programs, service levels, and physical infrastructure that contribute so highly to the quality of life in Wyoming.

Well maintained streets and buildings and neatly kept public grounds establish the physical attractiveness of the community. Outstanding public safety services, with a highly professional police force and dedicated volunteers staffing our Fire and EMS services, meet our safety and health concerns. Innovative Recreation programs provide participative opportunities for all, from pre-school to seniors.

These all are major factors in making Wyoming a highly desirable place to live. They all cost money.

We need to use our tax receipts efficiently, aggressively seek outside funds to augment our taxes, and establish a tax level that will maintain the community quality that we expect without creating a tax burden that is a disincentive for people to move into Wyoming.
