Full Biography for Cynthia Lee Richardson

Candidate for
Board Member; Winton Woods School District

Cynthia Lee Richardson has been a resident of the Forest Park community for over 20 years. She was educated in the Forest Park Elementary and Middle Schools and graduated from the Forest Park High School, receiving a scholastic scholarship to further her education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati. Seh taught in the public school system for six years. Thsi wife, and now stay at home mother of four (two of which are school aged) devotes her time caring for her family and being actively involved in the music ministry at her church. As a teacher, Cynthia saw such a great need fro parents to become as involved in their child's education as they possibly can. After the birth of her fourth child, she and her husband decided that she should leave the teaching profession for a while to devote more of her time to the well being of their four children.

Cynthia is very familiar with the educational system froma teacher and parent position; but she desires to have a greater voice in the administration and decision making involved in her children's education. Cynthia desires to see public education reach the educational, emotional, social and physical need of every shild. Although some may say this sounds impossible, Cynthia still has hope. "I could stand on the sideline and complain about what is or isn't being done, but I'd rather get in the game and try to help raise the standard of excellence."
