Larry is the son of Larry and Ida Loebker, residents of Price Hill. He is the oldest of five children, he has four sisters: Lauren, Dawn, Lisa, and Kristine. He is married to Traci (Oestreicher) and has two children: Tyler and Sydney. Larry Lived in Price Hill for 22 years, then in 1991, married Traci and they bought their first home in Price Hill. A couple years later they moved to a home in Delhi Township. In 1997, they built a house in Cleves, the Coleman Woods subdivision. Larry went to St. William Elementary in Price Hill for grades 1-8. He played football, baseball and basketball. He then attended Elder High School and played freshmen football and wrestling. He graduated from Elder with Second Honors in 1988. He accepted an academic merit award from Thomas More College and attended one semester. The tuition was too much for him to be able to attend any further, so he went to Cincinnati Technical College. He graduated from CTC with a 3.4 GPA in Computer Information Systems Programming. In 1995, he returned to Thomas More College to attend The Accelerated Program (TAP) to attain his Business Administration degree. He completed the TAP program with a 3.5 GPA. He has four classes left to earn his degree. Larry began his working career at Glenway Chevrolet while attending Elder. He washed cars and maintained the car lot during his high school years. During the first couple of years in college, he worked as a Department Manager for Central Hardware in Delhi. Then became Assistant Manager for Sears Paint & Hardware. During this time he was attending Cincinnati Technical College and was working at Community Mutual Insurance Company as a Co-Op. After graduation, he went to work for Info2 Systems, a computer software company. Then he returned to Community Mutual Insurance Company as a full-time Programmer/Analyst. In 1995, he accepted a Consultant position with Cap Gemini America. Cap Gemini is an Information Technology Consulting Company headquartered in Paris, France. He is now a Senior Consultant and Client Consultant Manager. He manages approximately 40 IT Consultants in the Greater Cincinnati Area. Larry became politically involved with Cleves in 1998 after a group of residents called the Concerned Citizens for Fair Tax attempted to work with government officials to assess the Village budget and spending. A number of residents were looking at the financial viability of the Village recommended to the community that the Village government be dissolved and become part of Miami Township. A November 1998 election resulted in to remain Village of Cleves 642 votes and dissolve 466 votes. In January 1998, Larry Sutton resigned from Cleves Council for health resons. Larry applied for the open seat with a number of Cleves residents. He was appointed to Council and was made Chairman of Community Development. He created the Community Development Committee with Business Owners, Community Leaders, Residents and Council members. Also, he is the Chairman of the Cleves Park Board. He assisted in organizing Keep Cleves Beautiful Campaign in April 1999. He worked all three weekends helping the residents clean their property and cleaning the Village property. He works with the Park Board to upgrade the park system. He is also a member of the Annexation Negotiating Team working with Miami Township to complete an annexation of the Coleman Woods subdivision. |
