Special skills and experiences

As a parent in sycamore schools for 23 years, I have had a wealth of experiences. Among my 5 children, there are 3 who qualify as gifted, 3 with ADD or ADHD, and 4 with learning disabilities. They experienced every possible grouping arrangement, and ability level from resource room to college prep, honors, and AP. We have seen pullout programs, inclusion, homogeneous and heterogeneous grouping and interdisciplinary learning. We have been involved with technology since computers were first used in the classroom at Greene School. My children participated in a wide variety of school activities and sports. They experienced state level competitions and 1 even was a 3000 point trophy winner. They were involved in Band, Orchestra, Choir, Theater, and Art and Photography.

All of that experience added to the many workshops, conventions, and committee research projects results in a very well educated board member. It would be difficult to find a person better qualified to serve as an advocate for children, their families, and the community.
