Lifelong Commitment to Arlington and Civil Service

Dear Citizen,

My name is Joe Harper and after serving nearly all of my professional life on your Police and Fire departments, I am campaigning to be the mayor of Arlington Heights. Over the years, I have gotten to know many of you and others I have not. However I have a vision for our village that includes everyone.

I chose "Helping To Build A Better Community" as my theme because I believe together we can improve the place in which we live. I would like to see improved relations and an elevation of trust between our community servants and its citizens. I also have numerous ideas on getting people involved to create a cleaner Arlington Heights beginning with the streets, sidewalks, and parks and continuing on up to the Municipal Building. Additionally if elected, I plan to implement an "Open Door Policy" where the people of the community will be encouraged to discuss initiatives and concerns with myself and other employees of Town Hall.

With your vote on November 2, we can change Arlington Heights into a place of which we can be more proud. Additionally, I want to welcome you to speak with me about my ideas and invite any discussion you may have regarding community issues. If you see me, please do not hesitate to stop me and talk.

In closing, I believe that with the support of council and the citizens of Arlington Heights, whatever decisions we make will be the right choices, for you. Please vote Joe Harper for Mayor on November 2.

Sincerely,
Joe Harper
