1. What effect would the community (charter) schools have on the public schools in your district?

Charter schools would bankrupt our school district. Instead of busing our children to schools outside of their neighborhood, we need to examine what can be done to better the quality of education for our children.

2. Evaluate the adequacy of support services, beyond state standards, presently provided for special-needs students in your district.

Our school received ten out of twenty-seven points from the state. This score put our schools under academic watch. To me, this means that we have more students with special needs than other schools and they are not getting the help that they need to succeed.

3. Has the use of proficiency tests in your school improved the education of students?

The idea behind the proficiency test was to make sure that the schools are teaching the basics. This is a good idea. I thought that our schools were teaching our children the basics but the result of the proficiency test shows something different. The test shows the extra needs to our students and we need to focus on that.
