Our Students in Today's World

By Susan Fasce

Candidate for Board Member; Saint Bernard-Elmwood Place School District

This information is provided by the candidate
As society advances technologically, our students need an education that will prepare them for either college or the work force.
I beleive that we need to help our students to move forward and provide a solid education that will give them the skills to soar in our society. First, our children need to learn more math and science in the classroom. Technology is constantly changing. Our students need to learn the necessary skills for today's world. Second, our classrooms need to be equipped with more computers. All students, especially those who do not have access to a computer at home, should have a computer available to them at school. We need computer labs that are equipped with teachers to provide guidance to students before or after school. This will help our children to be prepared to enter the work force or college.
