1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?

Answer from Gwen McFarlin:

Public transportation is vital for economic growth. Public transportation allows access to employment and greater employment opportunities. Over all this will improve the quality of life in the township.

2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.

Answer from Gwen McFarlin:

Yes, campaign reform will provide a greater opportunity for qualified, competent people to participate in running for a public office.

3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?

Answer from Gwen McFarlin:

I only see benefits with few obstacles. Land use planning allows communities to plan their future growth and determine what their future land needs may be. It provides a rationale for land use, and zoning related decisions. It also enhances the viability of the township.
