1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?

Answer from Paul Vanderbosch:

As the area becomes more densely populated, public transportation may be needed to support movement of the population to their places of employment.

Answer from Russell L. Jackson, Jr.:

Public transportation is not a high priority for Anderson Twp.

2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.

Answer from Paul Vanderbosch:

I would favor such initiatives if they were fair, uniformly applied to all candidates, and encouraged more people to become involved in government.

Answer from Russell L. Jackson, Jr.:

I am opposed to the use of public funds, matching or otherwise, in political campaigns.

3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?

Answer from Russell L. Jackson, Jr.:

Land use planning is essential for "smart growth" and a key part of any zoning decision.
