1. What are your views regarding the need for public transportation in your community to promote access to employment throughout the region?

Answer from Daniel J. Guy:

I feel public transportation is vitally important for handicapped and social disadvantaged members of our region.

Answer from Jane M. Grote:

Norwood is located between the two major highways in the Norwood area and has a number of bus routes running through the city. The need for additional public transportation is minimal

2. Would you be in favor of county-wide campaign finance regulations that would provide for public matching funds, limit campaign contributions and provide for more disclosure? State your opinions on these ideas; whether you would support or oppose them.

Answer from Jane M. Grote:

No for the most part municipal elections do not need more regulations. Additional requirements would discourage qualified people from running for public office.

Answer from Daniel J. Guy:

I would support an campaign finance reforms that would allow the more economically challenged but qualified people to run.

3. What are the benefits/detriments to land use planning prior to zoning decisions?

Answer from Daniel J. Guy:

N/A

Answer from Jane M. Grote:

Land use planning enables a municipality to see the whole picture of the impact of zoning decisions on an area and helps to avoid spot zoning or zoning decisions made to resolved only a particular problem
