Political Philosophy for Henry Burtschi

Candidate for
Director; Oakdale Irrigation District; Division 4

This information is provided by the candidate

I have been asked why I want to serve as an O.I.D. Director. The answer is simple: For the last 49 years, the Oakdale area has been good to my family and me. Without a doubt, the O.I.D. is one of the main contributors to our economy and way of life. Yes, if one wants to do justice to the job of Director, many hours are spent each week solving a variety of problems. Being semi-retired from the trucking, cattle and hay business, I have the time to do so. And, believe it or not, some of it is very interesting. My business experience (I know what it is to meet a payroll!) and my awareness of the overall O.I.D. situation will give me good guidance in making the right decisions in fairness and quality. Some of the upcoming Board decisions will affect our constituents far into the future, including my children and grandchildren. I will do my best to shape the future for the benefit of all people within the District.
