Political Philosophy for Doris Morse

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Millbrae

This information is provided by the candidate

I believe that the key to Millbrae's success is the ability to maintain our City's charm and quality of life. We are indeed fortunate to live in a community that values COOPERATION rather than conflict, TEAMWORK rather than individual success and encourages COMMUNITY SERVICE as part of our daily lives.

I've had extensive experience, from direct involvement, on critical issues that impact our quality of life, as well as, Millbrae's financial stability. For instance, I worked closely on the planning of the MILLBRAE AVENUE OVERPASS, the revitalization of our DOWNTOWN, the negotiated agreement with B.A.R.T. (to protect Millbrae's interests during construction), the establishment of our SPUR TRAILS, enhancement of POLICE & FIRE services, a renovated, more user-friendly CITY HALL and an upgraded FIRE STATION (that meets today's seismic standards). I pioneered the establishment of the YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL and encouraged the SENIOR ADVISORY BOARD to partner with the City Council, so that their voices could be heard.

My City Council experience is second only to my dedication to Millbrae's residents. Experience, commitment, leadership and a desire to listen has defined my public service on our Council. That is why I've chosen, as the motto for my campaign "EXPERIENCE...IT WORKS! "

I respectfully request YOUR vote on November 2nd.
