  • School Choice:

I believe that parents should have a choice of where they send their child to school. All of our schools are different, and reflect differing emphasis and differing approaches to teaching and learning. We want parents to find the best place for their child.

  • Test Scores:

Test scores are very important. Our test scores have improved during my first term from the 40th to the 44th percentile. I want to see our scores go up to the 50th percentile in my next term. As a Board Member, I constantly push for better results.

  • Community Involvement:

Our kids do better in school when adults pitch in and help. Parents can help by making sure their kids do their homework. Community people can help with after school progams, mentoring, and volunteer work. We need to find new ways to help families and businesses get involved in our schools.
