Political Philosophy for Jim Eaton

Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Jefferson School District

1) School and Staff safety is a must within all the school districts. Our district currently has a committee to address some of the issues of safety. As a board member I would strongly push for the ideas being presented by the committee to be put into action.

2) When students are expelled from school they are most times given home schooling. Throughout Daly City most of these children will not have parents home during this schooling due to work or other unfortunate circumstances. This means that the child is home alone with a teacher. This is unsafe for the child and the teacher. We must find alternative safe locations for the schooling to continue.

3) I would work toward rebuilding relationships within the district with other organizations such as the Personnel Commission.
