A nine member elected Transit Board made up of three transit riders, three transit workers, and three tax payers who will run the new system with the help of a professional transit manager.
Getting homeless people off the streets
A plan to get homeless people off the streets and into safe shelter and into housing by volunteering for the Adopt-a-Block/Park Program.
Moving long-term rent controlled tenants into home ownership.
A housing construction program to move long-term tenants out of below markert rent-controlled property into home ownership; thus lowering rents for other tenants, and allowing landlords to bring some of their units up to market rates.
