4 years ago I committed to bringing common sense to our City Council and to asking the tough questions to keep our city on the right track. It hasn't been easy, it's taken many long hours, but it's happened.

As the next Mayor, I will do even more: continue public safety as our top priority, including increasing police patrols, building the 3rd fire station and adding paramedics; balance housing and jobs to meet the needs of our community; aggressively pursue further economic development; and expand efforts for job training.

Most importantly, I will work to insure Gilroy is a robust, viable, sustainable community, not a bedroom suburb of San Jose.

I will keep Gilroy financially strong and sound, maintaining our tax base that supports our recreation, parks and our quality of life.

As Mayor, I will lead the council in finding new and creative ways to deal with growth and school impacts; focus on better traffic management and street development; accelerate the creation of new parks and community facilities; and increase the use of technology to make our government more efficient. And open. And accessible.

I ask for your vote and support as your next Mayor.
