As an active member of our community for over 15 years, I have worked to keep Sunnyvale a world-class city in which to live and work. As a member of your City Council I will:

  • Protect our residential neighborhoods by opposing further densification and encroachment of high-density developments and traffic.
  • Improve our quality of life by supporting a strong Public Safety Department, high quality libraries, and construction of a new senior center.
  • Work with NASA, other local governments, and community leaders to ensure NASA's continued Federal stewardship of Moffett Field to minimize flights over our neighborhoods.
  • Retain Sunnyvale's suburban atmosphere.
  • Encourage a healthy economy by supporting high-technology, retail, and commercial businesses.
  • Preserve our heritage by retaining historic areas in our city, such as the downtown.
  • Provide quality housing for our community, emphasizing single-family developments and maintaining zoning for mobile home parks as a source of affordable housing.

The City Council has a significant impact on the quality of our daily lives. Sunnyvale, therefore, needs a responsible, experienced leader who will listen to and act on the needs of the community. As your councilmember, I will bring integrity and vitality to this office. I am willing to work with and for the citizens of our City, upholding high ethical standards throughout my term.

As a manager at a high-technology company, I have demonstrated the ability to work successfully with people with a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. As a volunteer and leader in many community groups, I have demonstrated my commitment to the needs of our City. I ask you to join me in working toward making Sunnyvale an even greater place to live, work, and raise our families.
