As a homeowner in Cupertino for the past 30 years, and a Cupertino based Hewlett-Packard employee for 20 of those years, I have seen many changes in HP, the Bay Area, and the City of Cupertino. The challenge is how to stay committed to Cupertino's values of excellent education, extensive parks, suburban character, and responsive government while moving forward in a world of dynamic change. I am the right choice to lead Cupertino through these changes because I care about Cupertino's values and have the following qualifications:

  • Experience- During my 8 years on the Planning Com-mission, I spent over 1300 hours in the Council chambers lis-tening to staff and public input, and making tough decisions that would shape Cupertino's character.

  • Commitment to Cupertino- I am committed to serve on the City Council for a full term. I am running because of my desire to build a better Cupertino for all our citizens.

  • A balanced approach- My approach on the Planning Commission was to listen to all sides and recommend win-win solutions that are accepted because they balance individual rights with the public good of the City as a whole.
