Political Philosophy for Scott E. Wilmore

Candidate for
Director; Tamalpais Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate

I commend the current board for their many contributions, and dedication in tackling many of the problems facing our community. However, I think we can do better by forming alliances with our neighborhoods to the West (Homestead) and North in Almonte, and the City of Mill Valley.

The provincial approach will not serve us well in the long run. We need an alliance that will represent the interest of Tam Valley with Marin County's Board of Supervisors.

Many times I have spoken at Board meetings and found that no one representing Tam Valley, and the TCSD were present. Annette Rose, our Supervisor has done an admirable job of working to increase funding to improve the Coyote Creek bridge and Marin County planning is addressing many of the eyesores that greet visitors and residents alike when we enter our valley.

I believe that the new groups like Shoreline Corridor Coaliting in combination with existing community groups can provide many of the ideas we need to do even more to reduce traffic impacts, improve emergency preparedness, and improve the appearance and quality of life that make Tam Valley so special.

If elected I will work hard to give Tam Valley a strong and creative voice with the Board of Supervisors, and at empowering TVIC and Shoreline Coalition to implement their ideas. Thank you for your support.
