Campaign Statement

Mill Valley is a special community that has benefited from a progressive, stable city staff and strong civic leadership. As a 33-year resident of the Mill Valley community with three children who attended Mill Valley schools, I am committed to preserving and enhancing Mill Valley's unique small town character, its natural beauty and its strong business community.

I will work to improve our streets, expand individual and neighborhood emergency preparedness, reduce traffic congestion and develop community consensus on downtown planning and neighborhood issues. I am committed to a financially strong Community Center that successfully serves our community, to preserving local businesses, the General Plan's goals of affordable housing and acquisition of open space, and maintaining the city's strong financial base.

I had a leadership role in expanding the city's library: I served as President of the Library Board, chaired the Library Building Committee and co-chaired the Library bond campaign. I have served on several city advisory committees and as a board member and President of The Redwoods.

I believe in active and informed citizen involvement in government. I will listen carefully and work to keep our municipal government responsive to citizen concerns.

Please feel free to call me with any questions you may have at 388-5634.
