Four more years of progress

By Larry McFadden

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Marin Community College District

This information is provided by the candidate
During the past four years the College has made significant progress due in part to my contributions...want to continue as a trustee for four more years to complete some of the projects we have in the works.
During the past four years the College has confronted and resolved several critical issues. It is currently at a point in it's history when the insitutional direction taken will determine how effectively the community will be served in the coming decades.

Recently the College has passed accreditation, completed a market study to identify our course directions, has made a commitment to revitalize the Indian Valley Campus and has a current year budget with adequate reserves to meet state requirements.

Due to State funding policies we will continue to be challenged to establish financial stability to ensure our children, neighbors, friends and, employees receive a productive education in facilities able to use the technological innovations necessary to master the work place of tomorrow. The Trustees must consider the option of going to the community for some form of financial assistance to achieve necessary stability.

My background in both business and academia have been of benefit to the Trustee's policy discussions and your vote will enable me to continue my service to this grand educational institution.

Please note that anyone wishing to contribute to my campaign is asked to instead contribute to the College of Marin Foundation, PO 446, Kentfield.....and you can deduct it on your taxes!!!!!
