Steve Levin for School Board

By Steve Levin

Candidate for Governing Board Member; San Rafael Board of Education

This information is provided by the candidate
Over the past few years I have worked with many of you, as an advocate for our children. I am running for office, in part, because of the encouragement I have received from many parents, teachers, and administrators. Both of my children are currently enrolled in the San Rafael City School District.

I have worked hard in our schools to improve the quality of education. I participated as an elected member, and Chairman, of our School Site Council. I served on several PTA boards. I helped build our college partnership program. I have spent many hours in classrooms and seen first hand the realities of limited school funds. I have been a member of district committees for budget allocation, technology planning, personnel hiring, curriculum development, and the parent advisory council.

I will work to make our public schools more competitive. I support smaller class sizes and improving our use of technology, as a tool in education. I will encourage partnerships with business to enhance school programs.

I would like the chance to represent our interests, putting the lessons I have learned to work. I will do everything possible to work with people to find ways of moving forward, for the benefit of all of our children.

I am asking for your vote, on November 2.
