$9,000,000.00 City Hall Expenditure

By Ken Horton

Candidate for City Council Member; City of Agoura Hills

This information is provided by the candidate
It is bad that the city council chose to spend millions of of dollars on the new city hall project - but to add insult to injury, the council decided to build this stone monument at the foot of our most recognizable monument...Ladyface Mountain. And, there's more; Sick oak trees just happen to be on the site of the construction. And of course, sick oak trees are not important. (Open Space preservation doesn't apply to the city council.)
Lack of objectivity and the inability to make good common sense decisions are the problems that now haunt the current city council. No one person is responsible for complacency, it happens without warning. As the years pass complacency grows.

If I were on the Agoura Hills City Council for eight years and I had or had not achieved my goals, I would step aside for the good of the city. Term limits will help make sure that I did the job I went into office to do. Term limits would not allow me to procrastinate. Without term limits, a politician can put off making decisions for many years.
