Full Biography for Lennie Schwartz

Candidate for
Board member; Lake Tahoe Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I am new to our business community, even though I have lived in South Lake Tahoe for the past 23 years. During those years I have been deeply committed to the education of the children in our community. Having taught at Meyers, the Middle School, the High School, and 10 years as the District's Educational Technology Specialist.

The next step in my commitment to the education of all our students is my candidacy for the school board.

I strongly believe we have tremendous teachers and staff working with our children. Education takes place in the classroom and the district's efforts and resources should be going to enhance and uplift what goes on there.

I believe that school boards must be responsive to all parents while keeping in mind the good of all students.

I feel well qualified to be a member of your school board. I hold a BA and Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge, a Computer Education Certificate from UC Davis, and a MA in Educational Technology from the University of San Francisco.

With my working knowledge of our school district I believe I can help set a vision that will allow all students to reach their potential while working to return harmony throughout the district.
