SUZANNE ANGELI FOR PLEASANT HILL CITY COUNCIL CAMPAIGN STATEMENT

As a resident of Pleasant Hill and Chairperson of the Planning Commission, I am running for the Pleasant Hill City Council because I believe residents deserve a change. I want to lead the effort to make that change. I have worked with the public for over two decades and know they expect their public representatives to listen respectfully and act with decorum.

People want city officials who value the quality of life, who work diligently to ensure public knowledge of the issues, and who listen intently to concerns about traffic control, safety, maintaining neighborhood identity, and integrity, as well as a strong business community. Officials who care about the needs of residents, whether seniors or young, working, attending school or retired.

Being responsive to people's needs is top priority . It is important to make thoughtful, rational decisions, to remember one's allegiance to all local residents, and to encourage residents involvement.

Politicians campaign with promises that they think people want to hear. I pledge to deal with each issue and its merits independently, with the interests of our residents my foremost concern. I will always be available to listen to ALL Pleasant Hill neighborhoods and know what "they" expect for our city.
