Candidate for Council Member; City of Union City

Serving the community, Alameda County, at the State level and National level. Reduction in Crime, More Police officer, Community pride and the Best Schools In the Nation.
I am honoured to be serving the residents of Union City as Councilmember for the last six years. Due to my leadership as a Councilmember and Vice-Mayor, Union City is a better place to live.

I have promoted retail business growth, improved family facilities and expanded youth and senior programs.

I have made public safety my top priority reducing crime by implementation of the community policing program, worked with the school district to fund 50% more school resource officers, created an anti-graffiti ordinance and eliminated gun sales in residential areas. I took our library hours from the lowest in the county to the top.

We must continue to invest in our youth programs, facilities and parks for families, construction of a new library and increasing after school programs. I seek your vote in my re-election to continue to guide Union City into the 21st century, making sure our community is safe and our schools are the best in the nation.

For the past 13 years my wife Carmen and I have lived in Union City, where we had our son, Andrew, who is now 11 and attends school in Union City.

I sincerely ask for your VOTE. Ben Elias
