A forest of money trees in your backyard
Some candidates really believe you citizens have a forest of money trees in your backyard. I don't. I am not a politician , I am a manager. And I have a plan for managing our city government. I believe that there is a certain degree of wasteful spending in government, and I have just the people that can stop that waste.

I intend to begin by looking internally for money savings, and then I will apply those savings back into our community. Simple tasks, like conservation of office supplies can save money. I know that sounds trivial, but with the number of employees that work for Metro, small savings here and there accumulate an impressive amount over a period of time...the trick is to maintain uniform spending in each area: property, supplies, equipment, etc., and to guarantee the Nashville citizens that the employee's impressive title does not give them a license to buy a $150.00 fountain pen. We should use the resources that are owned by Nashville conservatively: Do we need a new building or can we make do with a little upgrading done on the existing one? I firmly believe that the citizens of Nashville should not be burdened with financing new projects that boost the ego of politicians while they do not receive some of the simplest services of Metro government.

There are neighborhoods that have been ignored by Metro and it is time to take care of our forgotten citizens in those areas. We must heal and stabilize Nashville now!

The city leaders have key responsibilities that should never be ignored: To serve the citizens, to protect the citizens and to listen to the citizens.
