Council; District 34

I am a life long resident of Davidson County and the 34th District. My wife, Cindy, and I are the proud parents of two young children, Caroline, age 6, and Patrick, age 3.

Since January 1997, I have served as the Chief of Staff, to the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. I am the chief administrative officer for the Senate of the Tennessee General Assembly. From 1993 to 1997, I served as the Legislative Liaison for the Tennessee Supreme Court. In that capacity, I was responsible for representing and advocating the Tennessee Judiciary and the Tennessee Supreme Court's interest before the Tennessee General Assembly. Prior to 1993, I served as a Fiscal Analyst to the Tennessee General Assembly's, Fiscal Review Committee.

I hold a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. I graduated from Father Ryan High School and Christ the King Catholic School.

Both my wife and I have been very active in the community over the past several years. Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation. My family and I are active members of Saint Henry's Catholic Church, which lies in the 34th District.
