  • Member of the Metro Council from 1983-1991. Served on the Planning & Zonning, Federal Grants, Public Safety, Parks & Recreation, and Codes Committees.
  • Member of the Metropolitan Planning Commission from 1987-1991.

  • Occupation: Retiring from my business.
  • Education: 1946 Graduate West End High School, Nashville.1948 One term, George Peabody College.
  • 1980 Elected Councilman for 24th District.
  • 1983 Re-elected Councilman for 24th District.
  • 1986 Built first new retail building in West Nashville in 30 years, and relocated to the present and original location, 4908 Charlotte Ave.
  • 1987 Created and became Publisher of "The West Nashville Digest" community newspaper.
  • Family: Have four children - Mark Eric, Alan, Jay Steven, and Lisa Ann.
Priorities:
  • More neighborhood involvement in schools with emphasis on Parent-Teacher relationships, instead of more Police, making Parents more responsible.
  • Fiscal responsibility. Operating government as if it were a small business with limited income.
  • To return dignity and integrity to Metro Council.

  • Occupation: Social Worker, Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee
  • Master's Degree, Criminal Justice Administration
