Judges are not permitted to run issue-based campaigns because judges must be impartial and decide each individual case before that judge fairly and on the merits. This is crucial in judicial elections because nothing is more important to a civilized society than the feeling that justice is impartially done.

As an appellate judge for six years, I have an extensive body of published opinions in national law books. I have decided the most important issues of our day, such as the death penalty, domestic violence, protection of children and drunk driving.
