In answer to your questions, I was born in a sanitarium on the side of a mountain in northern California. I started work soon after, as a buffer weight in the hospital where I was born (my father was working his way through ministerial school & this was a way to spend extra time with me.)

When I was still too young to remember, our family went to be missionaries in Newfoundland, where there is reason to favor global warming...

From there we moved about every year, living in the midwest - mostly Illinois, until I turned 18 & hitchhiked back to California. Since then I've lived in most of the golden state, including; Ukiah, Pixley, Dinuba, Fresno, Bakersfield, Escondido, Vista, Chula Vista, Ramona, Del Mar and San Diego, only leaving California to further my education.

I've supported myself & families (twice widowed) the best I could, working in many fields, including; janitorial, construction, farm labor, woodworking, property management, consultant, law clerk, journalism, business owner, and personal care attendant for the disabled. I currently help my brother run a janitorial service and write humorous little booklets we call Antidotes to Brainwashing.

Our charity has been mostly one-to-one, since that's the best way to help people. We encourage people to do what they can while helping them make better lives for themselves. By example, we encourage people to be industrious & love liberty.

I've discovered that government is a major causal factor of poverty. Many of the homeless who migrate to San Diego to get out of the cold, were once comfortably middle class. They owned small businesses, worked trades, contracted, bought, sold & paid taxes - until their government turned on them and made their lives hell.

Some had tax audits they couldn't satisfy - or liens that took their operating capital right out of their accounts. Others were hit with company busting fines by OSHA, FTB or the labor relations board. Some lost all will to work when wives & children were lured away by the easy, stress-free life of welfare, subsidized housing & Medi-Cal. Others lost their drivers licenses (& businesses too) over a DUI, or their route truck for not passing smog. A stretch in jail for a minor infraction is all it takes to ruin most small business owners.

I've seen how government attacks the industrious poor & takes away their incentive to work. I think it's morally wrong, economically stupid and not what our government should do.

The major issues in this race are:

Who should terrorize you & steal your stuff?

How can we make all our tax & regulate agents abide by our constitutions?

How much better off would we be without so much government?

All my opponents are on the same side on these issues. They WANT to collect your taxes, regulate your lives & businesses, & get rich & powerful on the donations they can extort from their victims.

If you own a business, if you are industrious - you are their victim.

Fight Back - register & vote LIBERTARIAN. It's the only message they'll understand...

Why vote for me? Because NOBODY should terrorize you & rip you off...

J.R. (nobody) Graham
