Candidate Leni Schultz's Position

By Leni Schultz

Candidate for Member, Board of Commissioners; San Mateo Harbor District; 2 Year Seat

This information is provided by the candidate
I favor:

A Harbor Commission that adheres to its Master Plan by including full public participation throughout the decision-making process.

Result: Public openness and accountability prevents arbitrary decisions.

A progressive commission which truly reflects the views of the community it represents.

Result: Community interest prevails over special interests.

A Commission that will take necessary actions to ensure that the commercial fishing industry remains a viable part of our coastal economy.

Result: A natural diverse and sustainable economy as opposed to an artificial
and vulnerable one.

A Commission that will work to implement the proposed Water Transit Ferry Boat System and associated development at Oyster Point Marina without further unnecessary financial exposure and debt.

Result: Provide a steady stream of income to the District while helping to
solve the problem of traffic congestion in San Mateo County.

A Harbor Commission that strives to improve the financial position of the District without negatively impacting the Taxpayers of the County or the Environment.

Result: Long-term fiscal health instead of crisis management.

This November election is a great opportunity to improve the vision, process and track record of the San Mateo County Harbor District. Vote for Leni Schultz on November 3!
