Candidate for Community College Board

A vision to make City College of San Francisco more accessible and responsive to the needs of the communities of San Francisco.
HIGHLIGHTS

One out of every seven San Franciscans attend City College of San Francisco. It is the largest community college in the nation with 92,000 students and ten campuses.

Four years ago I had a vision for City College to make it more accessible and responsive to the needs of the communities of San Francisco. I am proud to say that I have accomplished 95% of my campaign promises. I have earned the reputation as one of the most productive trustees in the history of the college.

I have led the effort to build new campuses in the Mission and the Chinatown/North Beach communities.

We have worked with the students to create a Family Resource Center for students with children.

I have spearheaded the effort to mandate sexual harassment workshops for all employees.

We have developed programs for our homeless students and students on welfare.

I successfully lobbied for city funding for out HIV Testing and Education Program.

I have worked to expand our English-as-a-Second Language Program to accomodate our growing immigrant student population.

After four years on the SF Community College Board I ask you to judge me on my record. I am proud to have garnered the endorsement of almost every organization in the city and almost every elected official.

I would be honored to have your vote.
